Prayer Points – Knowing The Reality Of Our Righteousness In Christ

By Bro. Billo. Read Part 1 Here

E. W. Kenyon said, “The man who fails to understand righteousness has no approach to God.”

“For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.” – Hebrews 5: 13 KJV. AMPC says “the doctrine of righteousness”.

What is Righteousness? Righteousness is the nature of God that defines His character and way of doing things. The character of God is to be right and perfect.

How does it apply to men? This attribute of God when imparted to the human spirit at the new birth gives him the right standing with God. To come into the presence of a righteous God, you must be qualified. There must be something that allows you to approach God. No man qualifies until he is given a credit (access card).

“But first and most importantly seek (aim at, strive after) His kingdom and His righteousness [His way of doing and being right—the attitude and character of God], and all these things will be given to you also.” Matthew 6: 33 AMP. The Righteousness of God is revealed to us from the gospel “For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.” – Romans 1: 17 KJV

“For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” – 2 Corinthians 5 : 21 KJV Revelation is the key for me having faith!

Prayer Point #7: “I am the righteousness of God in Christ”

“I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus and I have the life of God in me. My spirit, soul and body are vitalized through and through by the power and effect of righteousness and the fullness of the God-life that I’ve received through the Gospel. I’m walking in the reality of my divine heritage in Christ, conscious of His grace and awesome presence in my life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen”

THE POWER OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

Romans 3:21-26

“But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:” – Romans 3: 21 – 22 KJV “he did it to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.” – Romans 3: 26 NIV. It was with the gift of righteousness that Abraham was able to intercede for Sodom when God wanted to destroy the city. God had said, “… Shall I hide from Abraham [My friend and servant] what I am going to do” – Genesis 18:17 AMPC

Abraham had become God’s friend through covenant. The Bible says Abraham believed God and it was credited to him for righteousness and he was called the friend of God (James 2:23). That was the bestowal; the gift of righteousness was given to Abraham and he could boldly engage God in an intercessory discourse. He said to God, “That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?” Genesis 18: 25 KJV.

How could a man have such incredible audacity to speak to God like that? He wasn’t trying to be disrespectful or impudent; no! He was expressing the power of the gift of righteousness. Genesis 15:6 tells us, “And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.” Hallelujah!!

Righteousness enables you to stand in the presence of God without a sense of condemnation or inferiority. This righteousness according to Rom 3:22 (that we read earlier) is “unto all and upon all”. With this gift, you can decree a thing and have it established unto you. Our righteousness is on the basis of a legal claim, and because many aren’t aware they struggle with their faith, not sure whether or not their petitions will be granted. But when you stand on His righteousness, you have no such doubts, because you have the pass! Your claims can’t be refused, because you stand in the righteousness of Jesus Christ. Glory to God!!!!!

Prayer Point #8: “I have been justified freely by the grace of God”

“A righteousness from God — that divine acquittal by faith — has been manifested, and it’s imputed to my account! With that gift of righteousness, I have the boldness and confidence to stand before God without guilt, condemnation or inferiority, and pray to Him and expect answers. I have peace with God through the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen!”

CHRIST — YOUR RIGHTEOUSNESS

“But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:” – 1 Corinthians 1: 30 KJV. “But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God —and righteousness and sanctification and redemption—” – 1 Corinthians 1: 30 NKJV. What we just read is one of the most powerful truths revealed to us in the Word of God. It’s so huge: Christ has been made our righteousness. Your righteousness is the righteousness of Jesus Christ; you didn’t earn it; you were born with it when you were born into Christ.

Something powerful that the righteousness of God does in and for us is that it makes us a master. Righteousness-consciousness gives us dominion in life and over circumstances. The prophet Isaiah revealed this when he said in Isaiah 54:17, “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.” Your righteousness is of the Lord. This is what Paul referred to in Philippians 3:9, when he said, “And be found in him, not having my own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith.” Hallelujah!

Every so often, boldly declare, “Christ is my righteousness!”

Never allow Satan to deceive you into believing you’re not righteous enough for God’s blessings. You are as righteous as Jesus is righteous since He is your righteousness. It’s His righteousness that matters, and that’s what you have. Thank you God for the righteousness of Jesus Christ: God’s blessing and gift to all men!

Romans 5:17 declares, “For if by one man’s offence, death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)” You’ve been justified freely in Christ Jesus (Rom 3:24), with His life and nature of righteousness in your spirit. Now, you can boldly fellowship with God in love without a sense of guilt, condemnation or inferiority! Hallelujah!

What is the effect of righteousness? “And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.” Isaiah 32: 17 KJV.

Heb 11:1 AMPC says “Now Faith is the assurance (…”The confidence assurance is coming from the effect of righteousness. The effect of righteousness is Faith. When you know you are righteous, you’ll pray a prayer that will turn things around. Why? Because there is no fear anymore; there is no lack of assurance anymore. There is quietness and assurance.

Prayer Point #9: “Christ is my righteousness”

“Blessed be God! I’ve been justified freely in Christ Jesus, with His life and nature of righteousness in my spirit. Thank you, Father, for the sacrifice of Jesus Christ through which I’ve been made righteous. Through the gift of righteousness that I’ve received, I walk in dominion and reign over circumstances, in Jesus’ Name. Amen!”

IN 2023 IT ALL BELONGS TO YOU!

What does the word Christmas mean? Christ, “the anointed one and His anointing” and, meaning “celebration”. For people like us who live and walk by faith, it’s especially important because it sets the tone for the coming year. 2023

A faith that works by love (Gal 5:6)

The truth is, we walk in Love no matter what. After all, that is the new commandment of the New Testament; “who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God. Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently: being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.” 1 Peter 1: 21 – 23 KJV

Since we don’t use the word unfeigned today, let’s look at these same verses from the NLT.

“Through Christ, you have come to trust in God. And you have placed your faith and hope in God because he raised Christ from the dead and gave him great glory. You were cleansed from your sins when you obeyed the truth, so now you must show sincere love to each other as brothers and sisters. Love each other deeply with all your heart. For you have been born again, but not to a life that will quickly end. Your new life will last forever because it comes from the eternal, living word of God.” – 1 Peter 1: 21 – 23 NLT

Now that describes the true meaning of Christmas: THE GIFT TO THE WORLD, JESUS OF NAZARETH is His name. Throughout the coming year, do your best to be like Abraham, who like God, called things that be not as though they were. (Rom 4:17)

How could Abraham be fully persuaded? BECAUSE HE HAD A COVENANT OF BLOOD WITH THE ALMIGHTY GOD. Look at this from Genesis 17:4-5

“As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations. Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.” – Genesis 17: 4 – 5 KJV

ABR-H-AM, the covenant name change. God put His Name, HASHEM, right in the middle of Abraham’s name. “As it is written, I have made you the father of many nations. [He was appointed our father] in the sight of God in Whom he believed, Who gives life to the dead and speaks of the nonexistent things that [He has foretold and promised] as if they [already] existed. [Gen. 17:5.]” – Romans 4: 17 AMPC
